Sporting Draws with Ventspils, still holds all aces in group

The present club of Joao Moutinho, Sporting CP, needs to wait more in order to book its place in the last 32 of the Europa League after the game with Ventspils was a draw.
Even the match was a draw, but the Portuguese giants Sporting is still holding all the aces in its group. At present the Sporting CP is at 10 points, 6 points clear of Heerenveen and Hertha Berlin – which was 3-2
in Holland.
What will be the best result for the club needs to be seen for under-pressure Sporting coach Paulo Bento remains to be seen. The former youth team boss faces calls for his head. It is followed by a poor run domestically and this had left the last season’s runners-up seventh and also without any league win since last September.
The dismal form of the Sporting in the Liga stands with stark contrast of their display in the Europa League. This is a great bet on football because they have seen win in the opening three games.
Ventspils were on the bottom of the group. They took the lead in the 14th minute. Zamperini headed the free-kick of home Juris Laizans from the right.
The visitors hoped for fourth successive league title, but when only seven minutes was left for the game to get over, Saleiro drew Sporting level with a header.
Sporting even then pushed forward for more goals but they were not able to make it through the visiting goalkeeper Aleksandrs Kolinko. Earlier, before the break, he saved from Daniel Carrico and Liedson,
denying Saleiro and Simon after the half-time.
